We've made it through the first month of 2025! Celebrate the end of Dry January with live music from the Illbillys Duo and a Build Your Own Old Fashioned activity at our Final Fridays event tonight, January 31.
Ladies' Member/Guest Tennis Tournament
Congratulations to the winners of our first Tennis Tournament of the season, the Ladies' Member/Guest Tournament. Tracy Buzzeo, and her partner Kristen Crosthwaite, and Brandy Nickel, and her partner Lindsay Hardage, won after four days of great competition. See the winners pictured above.
Operations Update
Please note the Cedar Lounge will be closed on Saturday, February 1 to accommodate the member event, Band Night. Grill 63 and the Tap Room are unaffected by this closure.
Mike Hott Honored
Director of Instruction, Mike Hott, received the 2024 Virginia State Golf Association Service Award. This award honored his dedication to instruction and service to the Virginia State Golf Association throughout his career. Super Bowl To Go
It's last call to order our Super Bowl To Go items! Members have until 1:00 PM this Sunday, February 2 to make orders for pick-up on Super Bowl Sunday, February 9. Read the menu and order here.
Blood Drive
If you are able to donate at our annual Blood Drive, we hope to see you this coming Tuesday, February 4. Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Blood is essential to help patients survive surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. Through a blood donation, you ensure our healthcare providers are properly supplied. Reservations can be made on the Red Cross website and walk-ups will be accepted. Read more here.
FootJoy Shoe-a-Palooza
The sale has started! Don't miss the first Footjoy Shoe-A-Palooza! This sale features markdowns on 80 different types of Men's and Women's shoes from the well-loved brand. Sale runs from January 31 to February 9 during Pro Shop hours.
Bourbon 101
The Club was fortunate to have Mac McCormack, whisky connoisseur and owner of McCormack's Whisky Grill, as our featured presenter at the Bourbon 101 event this past Wednesday. Members left with a detailed education and happy palates, along with considerable knowledge on the subject.
Tea Party
Surprises were in store last Sunday at the Mother/Daughter Tea Party when a certain princess made a special visit. See pictures of the event below.

 

Upcoming Events
Event Highlight: Short Game Shoot-Out
There is still space available at our first golf event of the season. Register now on ForeTees for the Super Bowl Sunday Short Games Skills Challenge with Scott Graber. This new event is a fast paced skills challenge on the short game area hosted on Super Bowl Sunday, before the big game. To get into the spirit, we're encouraging members to wear their team's football jersey. Wew will have tailgating stations with food and beer. This is also the perfect opportunity to meet our new Director of Golf, Scott Graber. Read more about the event in the flyer linked here.
Event Highlight: SSMA Luncheon
Member Gary Gies goes in-depth on the role of AI at the SSMA Luncheon this Wednesday, February 5, in his featured presentation, "AI Friend or Foe." Building off of his professional knowledge from his work as a Systems Engineer at Google, he provides insight into this new and developing technology. Reservations open to SSMA Members. Event starts at 11:30 and features a lunch. Register here.

Events Team Recognized

Winter Tennis Procedures
As our outdoor courts are closed for the winter, our team aims to maximize indoor court utilization through the implementation of our policies linked here. Please familiarize yourself with these winter policies and contact the ISF at 804-794-8188 with any questions.

Northstar Update
As a reminder, members who have not logged into the new website should do so. For security reasons, all encrypted payment information from our old website was not brought over into the new website. Members who previously paid online should re-enter their banking and credit card information and/or schedule automatic payments. Members using the old app should delete it and re-install the new app named "Salisbury Country Club." The login information should mirror the website login information.
